New Year's Dumplings

Andrea's dumplings

We just did this incredible Year of the Rabbit dim sum party. My client and her 24 guests all pitched in to pinch their dumplings and had a great time learning a new skill.

I've posted some videos on the NuCulinary facebook page to give you a taste of what it was like. Last year I taped dumpling expert extraordinaire, Andrea Nguyen, showing us how to pinch 3 variations on the peapod fold. Check out these 3 short videos so you can learn how to do it too.

While you're there, be sure to add NuCulinary to your pages you like. That way you'll always stay up to date when I post new how-tos and other fun information.

Asian Dumplings Book

Also, Andrea's beautiful, super detailed book, Asian Dumplings, is not to miss! It's my go-to reference for dumplings.

Valentine's Fun at the West Seattle Farmers Market

Sunday, February 13, 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

44th Ave SW & SW Alaska St.,

(Alaska Junction), Seattle

Show your farmers and farmers market some love - and pamper  yourself and your sweetie too!

We'll have live music from salsa group Super Sones, an art table for making Valentines, and I'll be cooking and sharing tastes of some of my favorite scrumptious, local and sustainable meats available from farmers and ranchers exclusively at our farmers markets.

Market vendors will have plenty of decadent treats to treat yourself and/or your loved ones: gourmet cheeses, chocolates, caramels, and other temptations perfect for Valentine's Day.

Sunday, February 13, 11:00am - 3:00pm

1075 Lake Washington Blvd E, Seattle
