Age 64, Thankful and Dying

 

I can't believe I'm already in my 65th year of life ... and loving it!  During this season of Thanksgiving, I am overwhelmed by the generous support, counsel, and feedback from my family, friends, our Learning Community Members, colleagues, and my broader spiritual community.

 

This is also a sobering time for me.  While we know all of us are going to die, the prospect of death becomes much more real when we face a life-threatening illness or accident.

The Strength and Support of Community

 

The last 7 years our Annual Dinner Meeting has served as our "grand finale", and this year was no exception!  Gathering together every November at different venues for an evening of conversations and learning together is a greatly anticipated "community builder"!  The sense of "intergenerational" community was demonstrated by the 166 family members including spouses, dozens of "20 and 30 somethings" ...  and our youngest member, 4-month old Sarah Kulp (daughter of Matt Kulp, Legacy Planning)!
