Begin with the More or Less Philosophy that I developed for our clients.  Rather than worrying about monumental lifestyle changes, focus on small changes that you can make every day.  Just do a little more of the good things and a little less of the not-so-good things and you'll be on your way. 

If you integrate small changes like these into your life every day, they will add up over time and make a huge difference in the way you look and feel.

Burn Excess Calories

In order to lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you take in. The good news is that you don't have to exercise all those calories away because our bodies use many of the calories just to stay alive.  However, if you don't burn off the calories that your body is not using for its regular daily activities, they will be stored as excess fat.

Personal training is one effective way to burn calories, and  depending on your goals, you can:

Overcome Temptation

Bring less tempting foods into your house. If chocolate cake is your all-time favorite dessert and you have a decadent chocolate cake sitting on your kitchen counter, staring at you every evening after work, you most likely will gobble it up in record-breaking time.

Even the most dedicated and diligent people will succomb to temptation if they're hungry and the only thing available is something sweet or fattening.

The biggest culprit of sabotaging your healthy eating intentions is your regular trip to the grocery store because it's during this time that you decide what you will and will not bring into your home.

While grocery shopping, try to think long-term. Don't just buy what you're in the mood for at that particular moment, but try to anticipate your future cravings as well.

Take a little extra time to plan your shopping trip and make good choices while at the store. Your hips will thank you for it!
