Greetings!
From the sunny West Coast to the cold East and Midwest, Children of Uganda's 2012 Tour of Light has been embraced with love and warmth across the U.S. these past two months. The tour has successfully helped raise awareness and much needed funds for the children in our education program.
In fact, 35 new full and co-sponsors have joined Children of Uganda's family thanks to outreach through the tour. The troupe children and teens have also met many new friends on the road at their homestays, in-school workshops and performances, church gatherings, and more. Thank you to everyone who has extended a helping hand to make this journey a success.
Our next stop is San Antonio, TX where the troupe will be performing on Sunday, February 19th from 9 AM - 12 PM at Christ Episcopal Church. Also on Sunday, the Tour of Light will visit Alamo Heights Christian Church who is hosting a 5 PM public performance in partnership with Grace Fellowship Church. Next stop on Monday, February 20th, is the San Antonio Children's Museum for a 2 PM public performance. And lastly, the Tour of Light troupe will spend the morning with students at Cambridge Elementary School.
February concludes the 2012 Tour of Light and our final destination will be Atlanta, GA. Performances will be held from Sunday, February 26th to Tuesday, February 28th at Ebeneezer Baptist Church, Georgia Public Broadcasting Studios, Grady High School and Christians for Change Baptist Church. Please visit our 2012 Tour of Light blog schedule for more details.
On behalf of our 2012 Tour of Light music and dance troupe children and the hundreds of orphaned and vulnerable children we serve in Uganda, thank you for your remarkable generosity and support.
Warmest regards,
Pamela Brannon
Executive Director

Children of Uganda's 2012 Tour of Light is traveling across the U.S. to share the rich culture of Uganda and East Africa through rapid rhythms, quicksilver movements, commanding drums, haunting flutes, funny folktales and sweet songs of joy. The dance troupe's goal is to increase global awareness of AIDS and to help raise funds to provide shelter, education and a bright future for their fellow classmates.
