Hello : I generally feel pretty chipper and youthful but the other day when Lexi, my 4 year-old daughter, gave me a real dose of reality I sunk like a brick in water. In addition to off -road motorcycle racing, my hobby is tinkering with my old truck. Anyway, I'm in the process of restoring a 1963 Chevy pick-up truck and took Lexi for a ride one day last week. Like most kids that age she yaks non-stop, is inquisitive about everything, and asked me about the truck. I explained that it was an old truck that dad was restoring just for her to ride in. Well, I opened a can of worms because after a long pause she proceeded to ask, "Dad, are you old"? Whew - from the mouths of babes. Fortunately she didn't recommend cosmetic surgery - that'll probably be coming in a few years as she becomes worldlier. Bummer though - thought I had licked father time... at least for a while. Geeeeeze! Spring and Scorpions: Based on calls we've received over the past few weeks I have a better feel now for the upcoming scorpion season and don't have any reason to believe it will be much different than normal. They're becoming more active with the warmer weather because newly blossoming plants attract a variety of insects that represent fine dining for these rascals. Be Prepared: 'Tis far better to be prepared than to be stung by an ornery scorpion, and the best preparation, hands down, is our patented "Kill Zone™". If you're unfamiliar with this process it's a highly effective application for killing and retarding scorpions that we've developed over the years. Briefly, the "Kill Zone™" is applied annually around a structure's perimeter and forms a protective barrier that is reinforced monthly with our standard maintenance. Together they provide maximum continuing protection against scorpions invading a residence. This year we're going to begin implementing the "Kill Zone™" in early May and I'll provide more details in next month's Newsletter. Please remember that scorpions don't care whether you're in or out of town for the summer and will gladly enter your home without an invitation in either instance unless they're killed or deterred. Our Technical Guys: We love to receive positive feedback, so, if you've had good experiences with a particular "teckie" I'd sure appreciate a short email with your comments and permission to use it in one of our Newsletters. Recognition is priceless and the Sonoran family would sincerely welcome some good words for our guys. If there areas where you feel our services can be improved please let us know that as well. Enjoy our beautiful weather while it lasts because temps in the 100's are not far off. Your business is appreciated and will never be taken for granted. Sincerely, |
