Well, another torrid Arizona summer seems to finally be over and hints of fall are in the air - not to mention the deeeeelightful temperatures. This is such a beautiful time of year in the Phoenix area so take full advantage of all there is to do.
Our Little Mermaid
 We went to a Halloween party over the weekend along with some 3000 of Lexis' pals who were all nattily attired in their party best. As you can see from the photo Lexi went as Ariel, The Disney Mermaid - her favorite character for the time being.
And no - that's not me over her right shoulder sporting the chic bow-tie and toothy grin. I went clad as a scorpion to scare the little kids.

Termite Activity: We've been receiving a higher number of calls than usual about termites lately and I wanted to pass on this information. There is no shortage of Arizona's subterranean termites. They enter your home or other structure through cracks in the foundation and tunnel their way to "choice" structures then burrow into them for food. They have an insatiable appetite for wood, drywall, and other materials containing cellulose. Colonies can exceed one million, and with enough time they will feed on the wood and drywall until nothing remains but a shell.
How To Detect Termites: Some common signs of termite infestation include:
- Mud tubes on the exterior walls of your home or other structures
- New paint imperfection present on interior walls
- Small piles of fine material resembling sawdust on your floors
Termites can inflict massive destruction to the infrastructure of your home if not timely detected so don't take chances with the integrity of its structure. Squirrels: These pesky little rascals might be cute in cartoons but believe me - they represent a real menace to your property.
