I'm not particularly proud to tell you this but within 3 weeks of hitting the ripe young age of 50 I had my first senior moment. Yup, and very embarrassing. Cindy, my lovely bride, had been on me for some time to have a colonoscopy - you know, a thorough check-up from the inside out to see what was going on internally. I resisted for a while because the thought of it gave me the chills, but she's the boss so needless to say - my appointment was scheduled.
As you may or may not know, the prep for two days prior to the procedure is actually the worst part. To put it mildly, my system was so cleansed there was nothing left, and I was starving to boot. Anyway, as requested by the doc I arrived one hour before my scheduled appointment and gotta tell you, I was really nervous and seriously considered blowing it off - but knew there would be no peace at home.
I checked in and the receptionist looked at me as if I were crazy - then with a wry smile informed me that my appointment was for the following week. Talk about feeling like an utter fool - and the cleansing, fasting, and discomfort - all for nada. And NO, it won't be better the second time around.
Tough Economic Times: A lot of folks and businesses are sure experiencing tough financial times these days, and the evidence of it is everywhere. I'm always taken aback by the empty spaces in malls that were occupied by known retailers, the "sale" signs in what seems like every store that's in business, and the constant promotions. Understandably, many merchants are having to compromise margins by cutting prices and offering other incentives to move goods and services just to stay open.

New Seek and Destroy Service: As scorpion experts over the years we've receive tons of calls from clients asking us to check their yards and home interiors for these rascals and kill them - in addition to their monthly maintenance service and "Kill Zone"™ protection. The service was not implemented because it must be performed in the evening using a special "black" light to be effective and we felt this might be intrusive. Scorpions have a phosphorescent material in them that illuminates brightly in the dark when hit by the black light so that's when they're best detected - and zapped.
After much consideration, finding the right "black" light, and proving the concept through rigorous testing we've decided to implement this service appropriately called Seek and Destroy. Here's the deal:
We will inspect any areas where you have scorpion concerns, including your yard, pool/patio area, landscaping, and home interior.Costs will depend on the extent of the service you require and will be quoted in advance.
