Today is a new day, bursting with potential, with new possibilities, ready to become what you will make of it. What will you make of today? Watch for miracles, EXPECT miracles, know that coincidences are divinely sent and if we pay attention and recognize the guidance they offer us we can make today, and each new day, our greatest ever.
How is one to stay alert to the potential that surrounds us? One of the most powerful ways that I know of is to use moments of silence; brief periods throughout the day to quiet the mind, to simply let go of the busyness of the day to dissolve. Some set a timer as a reminder, some simply use currently existing breaks in their usual daily routine as times to stop and take a moment to breathe, consciously release any muscle tension and let go... let go of thoughts, let go of worry, let go of emotions... be present in that very moment only.
Present moment awareness means not thinking about what you need to do in the next week, day, hour or minute. Not thinking about what you did last year, last week or last hour. It means a total letting go of anything that is not in this very moment... and this moment... and then this moment...
As the quote by Neale Donald Walsch states nothing from yesterday needs to affect who you are today, each moment offers you the opportunity to be inspired, not discouraged by yesterday... to use today to create a greater version of yourself.
As simple as it sounds to just stop for a moment here and there throughout your busy day and take a moment to breathe and let go, it can be hard to remember to do it on a daily basis.
See what a difference it can make to each new day. Set your timer on your watch or on your computer to remind you or sign up to have a twice a day reminder emailed to you. If you follow this link
Present Moment Awareness, you will be sent to a sign up link that will enable you to receive short reminder email daily for the next three weeks, to help you to get into the habit of stopping and being totally in the present moment at least twice each day.
