Social Solutions announces the kick off of the Superstar Foundation's 2011 Veronica Awards! The Superstar Foundation was founded 4 years ago to help expand the use of "transformational relationships" as the core of social services. Each year they give four $5000 awards out to direct service workers who are able to demonstrate their effectiveness through essays and the submission of data. This time last month we were all gearing up for the Afterschool Alliance's 12th Annual Lights On Afterschool celebration. Lights On is a national event that highlights the benfits of afterschool programming. With over 7,500 communities participating we thought we'd share two with you. In Maryland we highlight both Montgomery County and Caroline County for their spectacular Lights On events. Read about them both
