Kaiser's New Generic Pricing
We're sending this message to our Kaiser clients to notify you of a change in their services. Kaiser Permanente has reduced the price of generic medications that treat serious chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes and depression.
The following reduced member rates are valid through December 31, 2010:
- $9 for 30-day supply
- $11 for 60-day supply
- $13 for 90-day supply
When members fill their prescriptions with Kaiser Permanente, their medications are recorded in their electronic medical record. That means Kaiser Permanente doctors can access a member's full medication history to ensure that any new prescriptions don't negatively interact with other drugs Members may be taking.
As always, when members refill a prescription, they'll pay the lowest price available - whether it's their standard copayment or the new generic price. For a full list of drugs that will be available at the reduced price, review the Employer Information Sheet.
