As you know, today President Obama signed the stimulus program.  Included in the package is a subsidy for COBRA premiums for employees who were involuntarily terminated September 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008.

 

Those former employees not having elected COBRA will need to be notified of their rights and given 60 days to elect.  The DOL and Treasury are working on model notices and we are working to update our software to be able to process these changes.
