Barbara Lussier

Orchard Path by Barbara LussierBarbara Lussier explores the romance of light and color with her paintings, which are often described as "poetry." Her imagery of farmland, mountains, rocky shores and sandy beaches evoke the wonderful, bright, hopeful time of Spring in New England, and she is inspired by the mysteries and wonder of the sea, as well as the majesty and aesthetics of the wildflowers and trees of the area. To read more about Barbara Lussier, visit her biography on the Geary Gallery site, and view her online gallery.

Jon Houglum

House on Olive Hill by Jon Houglum
Jon Houglum is a painter who has studied in the style of the old masters. When viewing his works, you can recognize the inspiration he takes from the simple subjects of his country landscapes, by the reverence with which he treats them. Houglum explained his style, "My goal in painting is to communicate the beauty of creation through the elements and principals of fine oil painting." To read more about Jon Houglum, visit his biography on the Geary Gallery site, and view his online gallery.

Visit Geary Gallery this month to view Lussier and Houglum’s magnificent works. The Geary Gallery is open to the public Wednesdays – Saturdays, 9:30 am – 5:00 pm.
