The Geary Gallery has exciting news! Judith Carbine, one of New England’s most beloved impressionistic painters, has provided the gallery with sixteen new works of art to exhibit. Judith’s paintings are reminiscent of American and European impressionists and her unique use of light, color, and broad brushwork to capture a moment in time and space relate her belief in one of Degas’ famous quotes about painting: “A painting should always be a product of the artist’s imagination. It should never be a copy.”
Judith has had numerous exhibitions throughout her career, from New England to England, and she has been recognized with many prestigious awards for her paintings. Both she and her works have been profiled in magazines such as Prime Time Journal, and American Artist Magazine and books including The Zen of Creative Painting by Jeanne Carbonetti and Strengthen Your Paintings with Dynamic Composition by Frank Webb.
Now through the end of January, Judith’s colorful landscapes will be on display at Geary Gallery and available for acquisition. We welcome you to be one of the first to view her new works. In addition, “The Gift of Art”—a celebration of the wide variety of contemporary representational artists the Geary’s represent will also be on display through December 24th at the gallery. With works of more than 50 well-known artists from along the eastern seaboard, our gallery has become one of Fairfield County’s favorite spots for art-lovers.
We invite you to see first hand this museum-style exhibit, and to consider a piece of artwork for the holidays, for a unique gift that will truly become an heirloom. We hope you stop in!
Sincerely,
Anne & Tom Geary
