Preserving the Vanagon

Spring is here and it is time to get your vans on the road. Here at Van-Again we are dedicated to helping you keep your vans a rollin. It is to this end that we are constantly scouring the planet for parts that VW has discontinued so that our Vans can stay on the road. In this past year the front heater core of the Vanagon has gone the way of the Dodo. There is no other source than VW for these and now if you have one fail it can be a show stopper. We saw this problem and acted to remedy the situation. We now sell American made, all aluminum front heater cores for the Vanagon. They are custom made for us here in the USA and they are superior to the OE ones in quality. Because I didn't cut any corners on these they are not cheap. I am selling them for $575, however it should be the last one you ever need to buy for your van. I wanted folks to know because people are buying used cores and putting them in because of the availability problem. There is an alternative. Why spend the time or money to pull your entire dash only to put a 20 year old used core in there? Part number in our webstore is 251265303C

We have Coolant Fittings for 1.9l Vanagons. That pesky plastic fitting on the firewall that likes to break, we have that in all aluminum now for $179 (025121082 for manual or 025121082A for automatic). That junky plastic H connector by the coolant tank, we have that in brass for $99 (025121438). Replace these parts once and for all with new ones that will never go bad in the future.

Current projects, cross over pipe for the top of the 2wd Gas Tank. Shifter linkage for 80-83 Vanagon. When these projects are ready I will put out another newsletter.
