Dear LACBC Friends,

My name is Alek Bartrosouf and I am the new Campaign and Policy Manager for the LACBC.  One of my exciting responsibilities is to kick-start the new Neighborhood Bicycle Ambassador Program for the City of Los Angeles.  I hope we can rely on your support to mobilize more stewards as we aim towards a more bicycle-friendly community. 

The Neighborhood Bicycle Ambassador Program is geared towards empowering volunteers to advocate and grow support for bicycle improvements in their neighborhood.  The City of Los Angeles is extremely large and this program aims to break down the seemingly daunting task of advocating for implementation of the 2010 Bicycle Master Plan and other grassroots projects.  

 

To bring it down to scale we will be having 5 regional groups comprising of the Valley, South, West, East, and Central Los Angeles.  As we get this project started I would like to schedule kick-off meetings for each region and I hope you can attend.  There we will talk in detail about the program and how you can help shape it.  Below are links to the time slots we're looking to meet.  

 

If you plan to attend, please sign onto our newsletter list first (the link is above in the first paragraph), and then fill out the doodle below (otherwise I will not be able to contact you with meeting location information and follow-up emails - doodle does not record that information).  Click on the one region that peaks your interest and let me know what days/times work for you by adding your name on the left and check-marking the days/times that work for you (don't forget to click save at the bottom when you're done).  You can expect snacks and refreshments!

The locations for these meetings are TBD.  If anyone is willing to host or can recommend  central locations I will send a follow-up e-mail once these locations are finalized.
