Hypno-Swingers Unite!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To many the pendulum evokes images of occult or supernatural practices. However a pendulum is actually an amplifier of subtle physical signals originating in your subconscious mind.
These signals are often referred to as an ideomotor response.
Hypnotists are fascinated by the subconscious mind, believing it to be the source of most of our thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
One of the most intriguing uses of the pendulum is that it can enable you question your subconscious mind with less interference from the conscious self.
The conscious mind is analytical and insists on making rationalizations (excuses) for our actions and decisions that are consistent with pre-existing beliefs, even when they are faulty.
The basic technique of using a pendulum is quite simple.
Begin by drawing a crosshairs design (cross within a circle) on a piece of paper.
Hold the chain or string between the thumb and forefinger of your dominant hand and let the weighted end dangle over your drawing. Make sure your elbow supported by the table or arm of the chair. Relax.
While holding the pendulum still imagine it going towards and away from you, following the vertical line of the cross. Eventually the pendulum will begin to pick up on your thoughts and begin to move seemingly on its own.
Once you have accomplished that, mentally trace the horizontal line and the pendulum should begin moving to side to side. Follow that with observing circular part of the drawing and see if the pendulum starts to follow that.
When you can get the pendulum to follow the motion of your thoughts you can then designate given movements the value of a yes, no or don't know response.
If you would like to learn more about the use of the pendulum then you will want to download a complimentary copy of my latest e-book "The Pendulum Project" which will teach more about this self-help tool.
P.S. There is an affordable Pendulum Kit you can purchase there too.
