JFK Premonition? Potomack Auction House Offers Kennedy Items
The
Potomack Company Auctions in Alexandria, VA, will sell a rare letter by
John F. Kennedy dated 1959 referencing the fact that every U.S. President
elected in a year ending in zero had died in office - almost a
premonition of his own assassination in 1963. Typed letter on United
States Senate letterhead from John F.
Kennedy, dated May 27, 1959, while Kennedy was a senator and
presidential candidate. The letter, addressed to Mr. Harry A. Squires,
concerns the "thought-provoking" "historical curiosity" that "since
1840 every man who has entered the White House in a year ending in zero
has not lived to leave the White House alive." The future president
answers that "the future will necessarily answer" the question as to
his "fate should [he] have the privilege of occupying the White House."
A very interesting item with a value estimated at $4,500-6,500.
Other less expensive Kennedy memorabilia includes an official program and
inaugural gala program for 1961, a LP memorial album of Kennedy speeches, political buttons and pins, matchbooks, bumper stickers, Kennedy pennant, Kennedy for President MD primary
poster, Kennedy-Johnson poster, a Kennedy-Johnson Leadership
for the 60's poster, and a 1956 JFK vice presidential button.

Lancer's Newest Books Ed Hoffman and Aubrey Rike New JFK Authors
The Door of Memory:
Aubrey Rike and the Assassination of President
Kennedy
by Aubrey Rike with Colin McSween
Tribute by David Lifton Size 6" x 9" Hard Cover
"The first time we began to pick up the President, I put my right hand underneath his head; I could feel the back of the skull had been blown out-it was literally blasted away. I felt the serrated edge of the hole in the skull on my hand. It was not painful, but I could feel the jagged edges of the bones through the linen sheet on the palm of my hand. I could also feel the President's brain shifting in my hand within the hole located just to the right of the center of the head. Then, as I moved my hand further to put my arm further underneath his neck in order to lift him, I noticed my hand was covered with the President's blood and his blood was also on the cuff and forearm of the right sleeve of my shirt."

But when you can't speak, how do you communicate precisely what you have witnessed? Unfortunately, although American Sign Language is used by Ed Hoffman, specific ways of expressing ideas vary as much as the users themselves. As a result, his statements have often been mistranslated with confusing results.
