Dear Friends: I get misty eyed when "Pomp and Circumstance" is played at any graduation, and today was no exception. Looking at our graduates walk into the Strand Theater this afternoon to receive their diplomas brought memories of the joys and challenges each had during their four years with us. Walking across the stage today were many who struggled mightily with their studies but are now going to college, several who lost their only parent and got back on track towards graduation with the intense support of our staff, and many who came to us with academic potential that blossomed as a result of the rigor of our program. The Class of 2011 is a special group that helped us move from Cambridge to Dorchester. It was a privilege to help them become young men and women of faith, purpose and service. They set a high standard for future students of Cristo Rey Boston High School. Every one of them understands they made it to today because hundreds of corporate sponsors, donors and friends believed in them and in our school's unique mission. Thank you for all you have done to give our graduates a future they never imagined possible just four short years ago. Gratefully,
Jeff Thielman President
