Greetings!

I am sure we all wish we were in either Florida or South Carolina for one of the early Spring regattas. The Sarasota One Design regatta is complete and the first day results of the Carolina Yacht Club Easter regatta are in - see below.

The REPORTER has been mailed and you should have received the new format DVD version. Our Commodore, Art Brereton had this to say in the REPORTER about the new format: "In the interest of cost savings, not to mention going green, we are trying a new digital format for The Reporter. By going
this route we are saving over $7,000 in costs, and we hope you will all agree that this change and any inconvenience it may
cause is well worth it. For those who wish a hard paper copy, one can be printed from the DVD. Again we are all very
grateful to Steve Andersen for all his hard work and long hours that bring us a breath of summer in the depth of winter. (Not
quite the February issue of Sports Illustrated, but close...???)"

Each of these news letters helps remind people to get their 2010 membership renewed. Please don't wait until your first regatta - this is something to get out of the way now. It is such a big help to us, and everyone that is holding a regatta to have all participants as NCESA members before they arrive at the event.  Besides, we need your latest addresses, both mail and email, to keep in touch.

2010 National Championships at Little Egg Harbor YC

Hold this date for the all important national Championship E-Scow regatta, September 10-12, Fri-Sun.

Exciting news for the Barnegat Bay fleet. It has just added 6 additional boats this year in addition to our 2 grant program boats.  Skippers include Marc Feaster IH-22, Andrew Kraus IH-?, Brad Wright IH-11, Molly lucas IH-12, Todd Nosher /Patrick Connell SS-77, Bill Warner Sr T-1, Joe Thorpe T-4. The sailors are a combination of young rookies and veterans that traded in their flying scoots for an E-Sscow.

The Eastern region is growing. All the regions should be inspired and challenged by the Eastern effort to introduce new sailors to E-scow racing.

It seems as if Robby is enjoying the 80 degree, completely sunny skies, and light medium southwest sea breeze more than the others, but I am sure they are all having much more fun than you and I sitting at home.
