It has been a busy year of planning and preparing but the Green Lake YC is eagerly anticipating the 2009 Championship Regatta to kickoff. With the big regatta less then one month away the only thing we are waiting for is you. As everyone knows Green Lake is one of those special locations that everyone needs to sail at least once in their life. The water here is crystal clear, the winds have been strong all season long and the town has been jumping with the great summer weather we have been having.

The theme for this years regatta has been a throw back to the great regattas we all remember from days past in Green Lake. For those of you old enough in the old days Green Lake's steak and corn dinner was a must attend social gathering. For this regatta we are bringing back this great event. Sizzling steaks and fresh corn with all the fixings. The parties and nightlife in town will revolve around all the iconic local places like the Gooseblind and Norton's. The best part of this is everything is within walking distance and everyone is in the same spots.

This year on the throw back theme we are also getting back some of the most legendary and finest ILYA race officials to have ever worked the courses as the Sundbergs and Kilanders will be up and out on the water. Those lucky C boaters!

As a last reminder early registration ends on July 25th, so you still have some time to get in on this.  GLYC does not accept any form of credit cards so please bring check or cash to pay for anything on site during the time of regatta.
