More of the same today for the wind, 15-25mph, short legs of .67 miles, and 6 1/2 times around. The race time was on target of 66 minutes.
This time Jule Hannafordlead (M-7) all the way catching a left shift off the leeward end of the line when most the fleet was piled at the windward end. There were strong puffs along with a good shift that rolled down the course, and with the short legs these proved to be golden if you were in them. Andy Burdick (I-45) got caught on the right and rounded 19th - there may have been other problems besides the big early left shift that kept him back on the first leg but if so, I don't know what they might have been. Andy had the biggest gainers - rounding the next downwind mark in 8th place, 5th at the next upwind mark - and ended up second for the race.
I will have more of a report later and hopefully get some pictures posted. Still having issues with the upload.
