Register for the NCESA Championships
Lake Geneva's 10th Annual Spring E Regatta
Used Boats and Equipment
Greetings!

2008 begins Volume 5 in the Digital Reaches, originally started by Dierk Polzin several years ago. I hope you enjoy the latest information from your National Class E Scow Association, or at least find something useful once in a while.

It is our 50th Anniversary and a big year is ahead of us. The Lake Chautauqua Yacht Club has been hard at work for some time preparing this years National Championships. Chris Creighton, your Regatta Chairman, and many club volunteers are ready to provide you with the best Nationals ever. Lake Chautauqua held the first NCESA Championships, and we are honored that they are putting out the red carpet for the 50th Annual Championship Regatta. Please make every effort to attend this years event, as it will be quite special indeed.

It will also be the first regatta in a few years where the fleets are again unified under one set of National scantlings with a clear direction for years to come. Just as history was made 50 years ago at Lake Chautauqua, they once again will inaugurate a history of unified E-scow racing with the new asymmetrical configuration.

Sail fast,

     Lon Schoor

Chautauqua Lake Yacht Club
Lakewood, New York

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the NCESA and members of Chautauqua Lake Yacht Club located in Lakewood, New York, we extend a cordial invitation to the 50th anniversary of the 2008 NCESA National Championship. Three days of elebration have been planned for June 27-29, 2008.

You can proceed directly to the new regatta registration software by going to the official web site and clicking on the SAILORS tab. In order to register, the skipper must be a current member of NCESA. We strongly recommend you update your crew memberships prior to initiating your registration, however, it is not required.

We will offer housing to registered skippers on a first come, first serve basis. Please register early! A listing of local hotels and directions are located on the SAILORS tab.

Merchandise is available for purchase during your online registration. If you pay for your registration and later want to purchase more merchandise or social packages, you will have to do it from the merchandise online order link on the MERCHANDISE TAB. There is a listing of the merchandise and representative artwork of the regatta graphics located on the MERCHANDISE tab. Over the course of the next month we will add photos of the actual items with the regatta logo embroidery.

We are extremely pleased to be the host club of this special event and look forward to welcoming you to beautiful western New York.

Chris Creighton

Look who is coming!              Register NOW !!

Your registration will not be 'complete' until you have entered all your crew (and they are 2008 members), and paid for their registration. You may start the process without knowing all your crew and come back and enter them at a later time. This will at least get you registered and added to the "look who is coming" list (in a pending status).

You may also purchase regatta merchandise and social packages during the regatta registration process. However, if you don't get all that you want you can come back to the 'Purchase Merchandise Only' link to purchase additional items and social packages. There are a lot of items to choose from, so come back often.
