Oscillator Stroke Rate & Length
|
|
Have you checked your showers' stroke rate lately?
If
not, you really should. In most cases when we check the stroke rate we
find it is improper. Usually the stroke rate is too fast.
Improper stroke length can lead
to the following problems: poor felt performance, uneven moisture
profiles, filling, felt wear, edge wear, and streaking to name a few.
The
formula to use to check to see if you have the proper stroke rate is
simple: machine speed (fpm)/ felt loop length (in feet) x (2 x nozzle
diameter (in inches)
Paper Trade Associates would be glad to come in and do a complete shower survey at any time.

Nozzle Reconditioning
|
|
Do you use long life Gem (Ruby, Sapphire or Cer-bide) type shower nozzles or trim squirts?
Do you use spring-purge or air-purge nozzles?
Do you throw out nozzles when you change them out because they get plugged or contaminated?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions we can most likely save you money.
Most of the time Gem, Spring Purge, and Air Purge nozzles can be inspected and reconditioned to like-new condition for a fraction of the cost of a new nozzle. |
