Table of Camp Kayak goodies @ Callaloo Restaurant on the night of our Tapas & Tasting event!
Dear Friends of Camp Kayak,

Welcome to our first email via constant contact - a NEW way for us to keep in touch with Campers, Friends, and the Family of Supporters we have all around the world!

I have just returned from a wonderful trip to Carriacou, Grenada - where the sounds of steel pan played by campers, rang in my ears...all primary school aged children are busy preparing for Summer 2012...with high hopes to come to Camp Kayak. We are getting ready to welcome them with open arms!

Camp Kayak held a wonderful local fundraiser in Carriacou on March 22nd, 2012 t the Calalloo Restaurant, in Hillsborough - raising enough funds that night for 20 + scholarahips this summer - WOW! Thank you to all who participated, especially the Bullen & Matheson families and La Luna Resort & Spa - chief sponsors of the event.

Reminder to all potential campers: Work hard in School and speak to your Homeroom Teacher or School Principal about how you can win your scholarship to Camp Kayak this summer...your efforts will not go unnoticed!

Meanwhile - "bust a tune" has gone viral throughout the schools in the Grenadines...check it out on youtube and see what all the buzz is about!

The Insurance Consultants of Grenada have proposed a special project for our Campers...to create images of safety in the islands, and the designing of a billboard for them to promote Camp Kayak's appreciation of their service in Carriacou, and throughout the Grenadines - We can't wait!

Fidel Productions will be offering a Camper Art competition in which summer students and local children will have art work judged and juried for possible publication at Fidel's craft shops.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three placements...good luck!

The Sandy Island Oyster Bed and Marine Protection Area - The teams of MPA's are in talks with Camp Kayak, about a junior MPA program onging in the summer months. Students could be awarded scholarships for SCUBA certification and the opportunity to help create a nursery of growing coral for re-planting in the Marine Protection areas...watch for our updates and the application process!

Meetings in Grenada, Petite St. Vincent, Carriacou, and New York City - are expanding our corporate sponsorship potential with more, Volunteers, Interested followers and growing support from foreign headed our way!

April 2012 marks the month we become and international non-profit/charity, and we are recognized with 501/c3 government tax exempt status. Watch for our new donation options and the tax incentives provided for donations to Camp Kayak overseas!
