It has been reported that the average person who has a bad experience at restaurant will tell at least eight people. It is much the same when we have a good experience. We are compelled to tell others about our experiences. How many of us--when we see a great sports game on television or watch a great movie--make it a point to tell our friends and family?
Most likely, those who are close to you have been noticing a few changes--attitudes, lifestyle, conversation, and choices. They may be a little curious about what's going on. Wouldn't it be a great idea to share your new found faith with those you love and care about?
The purpose of this lesson is to help you understand the importance of sharing your faith with others and make it as easy and natural as sharing about a new restaurant, a great football game, or your latest vacation.
Before going any further listen to this great song by Jamie Grace.

Jesus prepared His first disciples to share with others.
- When Jesus first called His disciples he told them that He would make them "fishers of men". (Matthew 4:19)
- Later we see that He was moved with compassion for people. He asked his disciples to pray for more people who would help spread the good news. (Matthew 9:35)
- He gave His disciples a "crash course" on how to evangelize, (Matthew 10) then He sent them out to share the Gospel.
- It was during this time of instruction that Jesus made the declaration, "Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven." (Matthew 10:32-33)
- After Jesus rose from the dead He told the people to go and make disciples. (Matthew 28:19)
- Before He returned to heaven, Jesus promised His disciples that they would receive power to become His witnesses. (Acts 1:8-9)
