Not a JABBER? That simply can't be!

Are all your friends JABBERS, too? Forward this week's newsletter and make sure you remind them to join our online grapevine.

Dear JABBERS:

We all strive to do our part to help Mother Earth year-round but as Earth Day, celebrated on April 22nd, draws closer the flurry of events commemorating the day are staggering. But have we truly ever taken the time to learn where it originated?  It was Senator Gaylord Nelson who after his election to the U.S. Senate in 1962 made it his eight-year mission to create national awareness about conservation and on April 22, 1970 saw his vision realized. This weekend, people all over the world will gather to clean beaches, parks and neighborhoods and my City of North Miami is doing its part with a park clean-up effort at Elaine Gordon Enchanted Forest Park. So JABBERS grab some gloves, pick up a bag and do your part. Together we CAN make this a cleaner earth.

Holy Moly We Have Moles!
From Ashley Schutz: REPLY
The mounds of dirt that are sprinkled across my backyard are moles, according to my landscaper. He recommended two ways to treat them: injecting something into the dirt piles, or spreading a granular product across the entire lawn. Has anyone safely eradicated moles from their yard? I'd love your recommendations for specific methods and products. Thank you.

Considering a Career Change and Looking for Feedback
From Mercy Collera: REPLY
I've been a classroom teacher for several years. Although I love what I do, I'm at a point where I want to try something new. Some of the ideas I've tossed around are working for a publishing company, becoming an advocate, and/or a private tutor for parents that want to home school their children, but don't feel comfortable teaching themselves. If you have any insight you could provide on these career choices that would help me decide if any of these would be a good fit for me, I would truly appreciate it.
