Luck of the Irish
Happy (almost) St. Patrick's Day JABBERS! This Saturday, millions of people will don green and celebrate the Irish with parades, good cheer, and perhaps a pint of beer. But why do we revel in this shamrock-filled holiday?St. Patrick's Day is observed on March 17th because that is the feast day of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. It is believed that he died on March 17th in the year 461 AD. It is also a worldwide celebration of Irish culture and history. St. Patrick's Day is a national holiday in Ireland and a provincial holiday in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. A Few Fun Facts -Don't get pinched! Getting pinched if you're not wearing green is an entirely American tradition that started in the early 1700s. St. Patrick's revelers thought wearing green made one invisible to leprechauns, fairy creatures who would pinch anyone they could see not wearing green. People began pinching those who didn't wear green as a reminder that leprechauns would sneak up and pinch green-abstainers. -More than 100 St. Patrick's Day parades are held across the United States. In Chicago, the Chicago River is dyed green with a special dye that only lasts a few hours. -34 million Americans have Irish ancestry, according to the 2003 US Census. That's almost nine times the population of Ireland, which has 4.1 million people. -Legend says that each leaf of the clover means something: the first is for hope, the second for faith, the third for love and the fourth for luck. -Corned beef and cabbage is a traditional St. Patrick's Day dish. Last year, roughly 26.1 billion pounds of beef and 2.3 billion pounds of cabbage were produced in the U.S.

Our very own Boo Zamek won the Entrepreneur award at the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce's 2012 AXA Advisors Businesswomen of the Year Awards last Friday, March 9th. The awards luncheon, held at the Coral Gables Country Club, recognized five outstanding women in the community who demonstrate excellence in business and serve as a role model for women. We are so proud of her and how she has grown JustAskBoo!
"Thank you to the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, to AXA Advisors, and to Team JAB for this incredible honor. Launching and operating a business is hard work," says Boo. "It's easy to get lost in the daily grind, but being recognized by this group, and being included in the Entrepreneur category with such impressive businesswomen in our community, is humbling and gratifying. It really makes it all worth it. Thank you and congratulations to the other finalists and winners!"

Help Us Start a Family
We are a young couple in our 30s and have been trying to have a baby for three heartbreaking years. Our doctor finally told us that since my ovaries were not responding well to fertility treatments, our only chance of having a baby is by using an egg donor. We are thus searching for a generous young woman to donate her eggs to us. In return, we would pay all medical and legal expenses and also $7500 as compensation for your time. We are ideally looking for a tall, blonde, Caucasian woman but welcome any offers at all. You would be giving us a tremendous gift that would change our lives. Thank you!

Vacuum 911
My old Dyson vacuum bit the dust and it will cost more to fix than to get a new one. I also found it heavy for going up and down stairs so I am not sure I want to buy the same thing again. Does anyone have a suggestion for the best vacuum for the money? I have one dog, three children and both hardwood floors and rugs/carpet, just to give you an idea of our cleaning needs. Help!
