This weekend we celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and as always we have a great deal to share with you from a membership organisation and association good practice perspective!


On 22nd of June we will hold our free membership and association professional (MAP) competency themed focus group (kindly hosted by the Trade Association Forum). If you have not yet expressed an interest in attending it is not too late, so please take a look at the article below.

MAP Competency Focus Group - Last few places remain!

On 22nd June 15+ membership organisations and associations will be sending representatives to our free focus group to discuss what it 'really takes' to be a competent membership organisation or association professional.

The group will user-test a draft competency framework that will be released (if deemed fit-for-purpose!) to enable the identification of professional needs and establishment of strengths.
 
 

Educational 'take-aways' for attendees will be:
 

1) A deeper understanding of the general and technical competencies required by membership and association professionals
 
2) The opportunity to benchmark your activities with colleagues from other membership organisations and associations

3) The opportunity to be one of the first membership organisations/associations to pilot the resource (completely free-of-charge for attendees at this focus group event)


We will focus on the following areas - CPD, Professional Services, Governance, Membership, Marketing, Communications, Operations and Project Management.

Harnessing the Web to Drive Membership Value & Growth conference - Quick update!

Later this month we will launch our Harnessing the Web to Drive Membership Value and Growth conference.

 

Web Conference LogoThe event will take place on Tuesday 23rd October in central London and will incorporate a wide range of web-focused topics including:


- Implementing online recruitment, engagement, measurement and growth strategies
- Shaping and redefining membership strategy to fully encompass the web
- Weighing up the advantages and pitfalls of total CRM/membership database integration
- Using your database to enhance user experience through personalisation
- Understanding new payment technologies that can aid online purchases, joining & renewals
- Web-focused round-table discussion sessions


High profile presenters will include the founder of WorldPay, Nick Ogden, well-known trainer and consultant, Sue Froggatt, PLUS eight senior membership professional 'success stories' from high profile organisations including the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), British Veterinary Association (BVA), and the Institute of Physics (IOP). Case studies from outside the sector will include Channel 4 and Nokia.
 

We have partnered with APT Solutions and other leading sector suppliers to ensure that the ticket price remains low, however all sessions will be 100% educational and will incorporate even more practical case studies.

 

Discounted entry will be available to MemberWise subscribers who complete this short expression of interest survey that will close on Friday 8th June.
