Our next conference: Recruiting & Retaining Members During Challenging Times

We are pleased to announce the launch of our Recruiting and Retaining Members During Challenging Times to be held on 5th March at the One Whitehall Place, London.

This 'much needed' conference will focus on practical and cost-effective solutions to help maximise member recruitment and retention during the current economic downturn.

We have partnered with ten high profile membership experts and speakers to deliver eight good-practice themed sesions that include:

- Recruiting members during challenging times

- Retaining members during challenging times

- Organising events that will drive membership

- Driving recruitment and retention through online engagement

- Optimising member recruitment and retention by getting the design right

- Effective membership organisation email campaigns in practice

- The BIG Debate: Print V Digital

- Expert Panel Question & Answer Session

Keynote speaker, Sue Froggatt, provides us with the outcomes of her seminar below:

'In my session I will outline how to plan strategically so you are better prepared to recruit members during the current economic climate. I will draw on 15 years experience of consulting with high profile membership bodies by providing practical top tips, sound advice and sector-specific success stories'

A limited allocation of discounted 'Early-Bird' tickets (£130) are now available and will be sold on a first-come first-served basis. We are also pleased to offer MemberWise subscribers 3 tickets for the price of 2.

New Advice: Serving Generation X and beyond - Member benefit evaluation tool
Do your member benefits meet the requirement of Generation X and beyond?

Generation X logoAt our Summer Social we advised that in 2015 'Generation X' would, for the first time, outnumber the 'Baby Boomer' generation. This has massive implications for membership bodies due to the very different requirements of each generation.

We are again ahead of the curve and have created a tool that will enable you to make a quick and informed analysis that enables you to:

- Take a snap-shot of your current membership (by generation)
- Understand the requirements of each generation
- Rate your member benefits against generation-specific criteria
- Understand if you need to take action in order to be future-proof

This resource was inspired by MemberWise member and well-known US author Sarah Sladek. We highly recommend her latest book, The End of Membership as We Know It, that we recently reviewed for the ASAE.
Next Direct Debit Conference:
Express your interest...

If you have been a MemberWise subscriber for over a year you will know that we held the first ever Direct Debit focussed conference within the membership sector.

The event attracted over 100 delegates and featured high profile speakers, including BACS Head of Marketing, Mike Hutchinson.

Since this popular event 15 membership organisations and associations have asked 'When are you organising the next one?!'

We now think think the time is right! We are therefore consulting on particular Direct Debit focussed topics that interest you.

Invitation to our free 'Christmas Social'

Christmas Social ImageFollowing the success of our 'Summer Social' we are delighted to announce a 'Christmas Social' that will take place on 15th December @ Institute of Biomedical Science, London.

A free late afternoon of learning, sharing and then networking drinks. The topic this time is 'Effective Branches and Regional Groups'.

We are pleased to announce that every delegate will receive a free drink at a local pub afterwards, thanks to our kind MemberWise Recognised Supplier sponsor: Conference Business Agency (CBA) - who are an established venue finding service and event management company.

CBA Director, Sara Young, will provide an overview of how her company has helped a number of membership organisations and associations with their national and regional event requirements.

A big thank you to Hedley Glencross, Institute of Biomedical Science, for hosting this meeting.
