Goodbye &
good luck, Tracy
ACC's Events Manager, Tracy Elofson, is winding down his days with our federation.
Tracy, who has been with our office for almost seven years, has accepted an exciting position as Director of Communications and Fund Development with Homeward Trust Edmonton.
We wish this fun-loving, dynamic guy well as he takes on a new challenge, and we thank him for the high level of professionalism he brought to his work at ACC.
Tracy's last day is this Thursday (Sept. 20). If you'd like to say farewell, he can be reached at telofson@abchamber.ca, or 1.800.272.8854, Ext. 2 (780.425.4180 in the Edmonton area).
Guiding us through our upcoming events is Allison Roberge, ACC's Acting Manager of Events. Allison has been Tracy's assistant for the past eight months. |

Delegates to carry chambers' proxy votes at
Canadian Chamber's AGM
As we've mentioned in recent newsletters, Alberta is set to carry a record number of votes at the national chamber's policy session in Hamilton.
The voting assignment sheet and our voting strategy were sent out earlier this week. If you did not receive them and would like to view them, please contact Terri Kemball at tkemball@abchamber.ca.
We once again thank our federation for the co-operation each of you has displayed to ensure Alberta is well represented at the Canadian Chamber's AGM, which runs Sept. 22 to 24. |
Rousing Regional Roundtable in Whitecourt
ACC joined seven chambers in Whitecourt on Sept. 5 for our fourth Regional Roundtable of 2012. Alberta Beach, Onoway, Fox Creek, Wabamun, Hinton, Barrhead and Whitecourt all attended the event.
Including ACC's staff and our Chair Tab Pollock, who is from Grande Prairie, 16 chamber representatives spent the afternoon discussing life in Chamberland. Member engagement, board dynamics, advocacy strategies, and ideas for luncheon speakers were just some of the topics that arose.
ACC thanks Pat VanderBurg and the Whitecourt community for the warm welcome they gave us.
This week we're headed down to Airdrie and we're very much looking forward to it. |
