Great job to Peter Ashline, Gwen Honeycutt, Cobb Milner, Challe Talbot and other local cyclists who recently completed 496 miles from the Mountains to the Coast in Cycle NC. A few others rode sections of the route: Chuck Hendrix, Steve Lambert, and Earl McMahon.
Earlier in the Fall, Clymer had another wee ride worth noting. In August, members of our community gathered to "send him off" before he left for San Diego for the start of his SOLO coast to coast ride across the USA. After seven weeks of pedaling, he finished his journey on

September 20 in Jacksonville Beach, FL. In another epic ride, Don Cox (aka Bald Guy) finished his ride to increase awareness for Beans for Bikes by pedaling from Wilmington, NC uphill to Boone. All Smiles at Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day

On October 2nd, many local kids, parents, and other adults met at Rocky Knob Park for IMBA Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day. Kids had the opportunity to ride a Pump Track specifically designed for the event, and advanced riders were able to tackle the trails. One very fortunate kid walked away with THIS bike! Thanks to all the sponsors and great leadership of the BAC Community (particularly the Marland Family) in making this annual event such a success.

November 5th from 1pm to 4pm will be the First-Annual Rocky Knob Fall Festival. Want to polish up on some skills? Several clinics are planned, ranging from fixing flats to Pump Track riding. FOOD and MUSIC also provided! MORE INFO.
