| 1st-Annual Cyclo.Via Huge Success |
Hundreds of people FILLED THE STREETS for Human Powered Fun on June 26. Some of our BAC Pros captured many nice images of the day; click HERE to view those from High South Collective and HERE for shots from Jamie Williams. Thanks to the organizing committee and the MASSIVE posse of volunteers who made this all possible. Also thanks to the sponsors...check out the "Featured Video" on the right to see one of of one of them getting into the action!

| Getting Down and Dirty at Rocky Knob |
| | Diggin it |
Much has happened at Rocky Knob Park since 7.22.10; this, the day the first corridor was cleared by volunteers. It is all coming along. The first 1.6 mile trail opened on May 1 and the second loop JUST OPENED. Volunteers have been HUGE, with over 2000 hours of trail work contributed by BAC and other community members in just this one year. Most of this effort has been achieved on Dirty Thursdays, yet several large Community Work Days have taken place on the weekends. In addition to Rocky Knob, BAC Trail Boss, Kristian Jackson and other volunteers have worked at Beech Mountain and in Pisgah. Rocky Knob continues to be the focus, and miles will continue to roll-out with volunteer help. Please email info@booneareacyclists.com for more info about lending a hand.

BAC Volunteers Assist Blood, Sweat, and Gears
|
For the 2nd year, BAC has sponsored Aide Station #1 of BSG. This year's edition was moved to the beautiful Grandview Overlook. Over 15 BAC members helped well over 500 participants who stopped for hydration, snacks, and even help with bike mechanicals! In addition to the Rest Stop, other BAC volunteers assisted at registration, SAG support, or at the Start/Finish. We are very happy to support the Watauga Chapter of American Red Cross, and we'll be back next year! (photo by Jim Bazz)

Find information and posts about local rides on the BAC Forum, the BAC Calendar, and the RIDE INFO page on our website.
