Gary and wife, Rita
Gary McCraw, better known as "Wolfman",    says his outlook on life changed one weekend. That weekend was the one he spent participating in Reel Recovery, a weekend retreat for men recovering from cancer to learn the healing powers of the  sport of fly fishing.
After being diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma  in July 2011 and completing radiation treatment, Gary admits he first had doubts about gathering with a group of other men to share his experience. However, a weekend at Reel Recovery changed that.
"If you won your battle, why not throw it out there and let others hear about it," Gary says.
He has maintained friendships with several of the men from the retreat. He also credits the program for giving him a more upbeat, positive outlook on life.
"It changed my life 100 percent," he says.
