The Low Carbon Diet: Making Park City a More Livable City and Saving Money Too!   Tuesday, May 24th, 7-8pm

Low Carbon Diet
What is the Low Carbon Diet?
First off, you should know that the Low Carbon "Diet" doesn't relate strictly to food! The Low Carbon Diet is a community-based program, and accompanying workbook, that was developed by the Empowerment Institute in Woodstock, NY. The goal of the "diet" is to guide households through a variety of conservation and efficiency measures with the end goal of reducing CO2 emissions by at least 5,000 pounds per household annually. The program incorporates numerous methods for reducing emissions, including those related to behavioral changes, energy efficient upgrades, water consumption, waste and recycling, transportation and dietary choices.
Three primary benefits derived from change in behaviors are: future generations benefit greatly, your community becomes more livable and you save money.

Park City's Sustainability Department looks forward to seeing you at the event and introducing you to the idea of creating a community committed to reducing its carbon footprint.

 Thursday, May 26th 7 - 8:30 pm

Join us for an informative and interactive discussion on using free resources to navigate the macro and micro events that affect financial market movement. Library resources such as Standard and Poor's, Morningstar and Value Line as well as free internet sites will be provided.  As a result, you will have a better idea of what information is important to you and your situation, whether you are looking to trade intra-day, invest for the long-term, or protect your portfolio.

About Your Host:

Brian Kahn began trading when computerized trading was in its infancy in 1998 in Chicago, Illinois. He traded German and US note and bond futures, scalping the markets for seconds at a time. Since moving to Park City, he has developed an interest in longer-term strategies that fit a life "away" from the centralized market. He has mentored numerous individuals, businesses, and money managers who all have various risk tolerances and goals and loves to share his passion for the markets with others.
