Hi Friends
We've given your inbox a break for the last two weeks but we haven't been relaxing! Apart from our Antique Sale a couple of weeks ago, and our Furniture Confidential last weekend we've been out exploring Penang - to bring you new people & places in our upcoming events! We have eased back on our programme of workshops & classes as the Summer Holidays are looming but next week we have a Cooking Class at the Tropical Spice Garden and Paper Crafts with Le, while the following week we have an Art Masterclass with Drew Harris. Our Garage Sale Trail is back on Saturday 16 June 2012. We already have one property lined up with furniture, wine fridge, exercise equipment & all sorts of other household items including a lawnmower. If you are moving and don't know what to do with your excess belongings, give us a call and we can add you to our trail. Our next Super Stylish Shopping event on 23 June 2012 (Saturday) will be at Thirty Two The Mansion so bring along the children as we'll have sand and seashell activities while the adults enjoy shopping, a lazy lunch or glass of something refreshing at Beach Blanket Babylon. We have KL jeweller Vicki Fennessy back with her silver collection, Gadis Manis will have all the best colours of their popular bags, Belfret will be there with his exotic skin bags & clutches which you can customise to your own style and for the first time we will have a limited collection of Designer "cut label" dresses (end of season but the genuine article). Photographer Daniel Gnoth will have his 2013 calendars on sale for those who need presents for family & friends at home or abroad! Other than that, we have a few places left for our trip to see the Magical Fireflies next weekend, a new date for our lunch at Furusato Japanese Restaurant, and a Sunday date for our Sea Fishing Trip. We are delighted to be assisting fashion designer Brandon Tan of Bran et Daguet with his upcoming Fashion Show on 30 June 2012 at a new & exciting venue in Penang - Sekeping Victoria. Invitation to the show is by donation of RM80 with part of the proceeds going to PAWS but spaces are limited and demand is high! If you would like to join this exclusive event, please drop me a line asap! Looking forward to seeing you at the sold out Alliance Francaise 50th Anniversary Dinner on Saturday at Golden Sands Resort. If you haven't got your ticket, you can still enjoy the French Film Festival until 13 June at GSC, 7F Gurney Plaza.

Drew's recent KL show attracted plenty of attention in the Press with his large scale abstract canvases. If you would like to try abstract painting, whether you're a beginner, or stuck in a rut with your current style, come along and release your creativity on a canvas approximately 18"x24". The resulting works will be displayed in an exhibition at TAES (when dry!).

The Manganiyar Seduction

 Sea Fishing

This outing is aimed at the serious fisherman (well fisher-person) as it's a longish trip. 1 hour in a wooden boat with sun canopy (& life-jackets) then approx 4 hours fishing before heading home again.
