- A formal letter outlining this information has been emailed to families and greater detail will be sent with re-enrollment contracts, scheduled to be mailed to families in the next few days.
- New Early Childhood programs were approved which includes:
- 16 - 24 month old with attending adult, one day a week
- 2 year old program: 2 hours per day, 2 days per week
- Home School Specialist Program: Area home school children will be offered the opportunity to join age appropriate classes per space availability for Art, Music or Spanish class weekly
- New Childcare hours: Before and after school care 6:30AM - 9:00AM & 3:00PM - 6:00PM (no 9:00AM - 3:00PM Childcare)
- Other topics included an update on Development items to include our upcoming Auction. All families are encouraged to follow up with the front desk to ensure they are receiving all the help that is needed to make this Auction as successful as our Annual Fund has been.
- Our next Board meeting scheduled for February 7th will be solely for Strategic Planning as our January meeting got pushed back to this week due to inclement weather.

Many of these donations have come from extended family and friends. Lani and Burt Magnuson (grandparents of Cameron and Courtney Myers) have been particularly successful at soliciting donations from the community.
Many thanks to all who continue to help Annual Fund grow!

Financial Aid FAQs
|
How much of a tuition discount should I expect? Our policy is to provide financial aid awards based on the demonstrated need of the family. Being a small school, we are unable to provide 100% of tuition costs. Will my application for financial aid affect my child's chances for admission? Admission decisions are considered separately from financial aid and without regard to financial need. How are financial aid awards determined?

Owl Nesting Boxes
|
Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade Cluster Buddies have recently been studying owls native to Washington state. Each group researched an owl, created posters with the information and presented to their peers. Parents and grandparents were on hand Tuesday afternoon to help construct owl nesting boxes, designed for the Western Screech Owl and the Northern Saw-whet Owl. Each student took their box home to be hung in their yard, giving them the ability to observe owl behavior throughout the year. All materials were donated and precut by Gray Lumber. Thanks to Mrs. G's dad, Steve Gray, for donating and helping out on Tuesday!

Below, Second Grade is hard at work beginning to paint their masterpieces using techniques such as blending and shading.
