Fourth Grade Button Blankets

Fourth grade students have been learning about Native American cultures. Each student is creating a button blanket--a button blanket was traditionally worn during important ceremonies and displayed symbols that were important to tribes and family clans. Students had to choose which animal they wanted to represent their family's crest. They each have a story behind which animal they chose and will present their button blankets at colors in the coming weeks.
