FCCPTA General Membership Meeting-Video Surveillance Presentation

Agenda: Presentation by FCPS Office of Facilities & Transportation Services on the recent proposal by the Fairfax High School Principals Association for the expansion of video surveillance in high schools. A question and answer period follows the presentation. Principals will be on hand to explain their proposal. Members of the FCPS School Board requested input from parents. This is your opportunity to come ask your questions and voice your opinion. The adoption of 2011-12 FCCPTA Annual Budget and Best Practices session follows the presentation. |

Unified Prevention Coalition (UPC) General Membership Meeting
Please plan to join us for the next Unified Prevention Coalition (UPC) meeting on Monday, Sept. 26. We will hear from several of our partners about their organizational changes, build on our discussions at the UPC Cafe Conversations held on August, 29, hold our sharing roundtable, and discuss upcoming events of UPC. A flyer about Operation Medicine Cabinet Cleanout is attached. UPC is a sponsor with the FCPD and others on this Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board project. Help spread the word about this opportunity to dispose of medications at district police stations from Oct. 10-14.

Real Kids, Real Food.
Plan a Food Day Celebration at your elementary, middle, or high school. It's easy!
Fun educational activities teach students how to enjoy a rainbow of fresh, whole food and how to read food labels. Students can create a food sculpture and will donate the food to a local food bank, Our Daily Bread.
Participating schools will be invited to a kick-off meeting where we will provide a complete package of materials. Join us!
