Glynn County Board of Commissioners

August 2011 Issue

County Leads the Charge for Strategic Planning

Plan Puzzle image
Earlier this year, the Glynn County Board of Commissioners held an executive retreat to develop goals and strategies for moving Glynn County forward. Many productive concepts came out of these meetings, including a vision statement for the County. As the County aspires to become "the nation's premier, uniquely diverse, most desirable eco friendly coastal community", it also acknowledges that this cannot be done without the help and support of our entire community.

Postell Ribbon Cutting

Glynn County Commissioners conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony with project partners and former Commissioners for the new Postell Market on SSI. The area, located in front of the St. Simons Island Casino, features 76 vendor spaces, water & electrical access throughout the park, new lighting and new paved parking, which created 23 additional parking spaces in the area.
