When long-time ASI clients Allen + Killcoyne Architects were challenged with renovating the L'oreal corporate offices in New York, the design needed to blend the tradition of a 100-year-old cosmetics giant and ever-evolving company, demonstrated through their cutting-edge research and a modern understanding of global beauty.

In the conference room, where big decisions are made every day on how to 'make

beauty universal in an ethically and sustainably responsible way', the inherent opalescence and iridescence of Eco-Essence, made from managed harvest shells, was the ideal material to realize the design goal of combining luxury with technology.

The black and white mosaic decorative panels were applied as the focal wall element, complementing the crystal chandelier, and offset the contemporary flat screen TV and office chairs for a luxe, idea-inspiring environment.

Through all of their products, ASI and L'Oreal share a passion and mission to help make the world a more beautiful place!
