 Red, white, and blue was a great change of pace in July but it's really nice to get our green on again!

coffees like Reece's Cappuccino. Here are her secret ingredients...
Espresso Machine: We use DeLonghi but I'll probably go with a
different one next time. Ours makes great coffee, but has needed too much service. Here are some machine reviews.
Foam: If you don't have an attachment on your machine, try the Aerolatte. You can also buy it without the stand. I keep an extra at home so the grandbabies can make "fluffy milk", and they love it!
Syrups: Torani makes the widest variety of sugar-free syrups and we use either EuroCafeImports or Kaldi (minimum order 12 bottles). Amazon also has a limited selection. Sauces: That special barrista touch comes from Ghiradelli Black Label Chocolate and Caramel sauces.

(Almost) Famous Recipes of the Month: Fajitas �nico
|
While laying out last month's recipe feature, Frozen Strawberry Delight, I got so hungry for it that I  had to make it. Actually, I made it x 1.5 so I could keep extras in the freezer for future guests. And...as I was whipping it up and licking the bowls, I realized that other summer fruits would do at least as well as strawberries! So next time, I'm going to choose between either blackberries, blueberries, or peaches. Which would you choose? I've updated the online recipe to add these options and give it a new moniker (Fresh-Frozen Fruit Delight).

BF's son, Chris, and his family came to visit recently. I had just bought some colorful peppers at the downtown farmers' market and chicken fajitas were calling out to me! If you've enjoyed fajitas (fah-HEE-tuz) at a Mexican establishment and want to re-create your own version at home, then...tenemos suerte (you are in luck)! I've not found this particular version on the Internet - enjoy (we sure did)! NOTE: You'll want to serve with my Authentic Guacamole, which I shared in August 2011.
