National Nursing Home Week

Autumn Care of Saluda invites you to celebrate National Nursing Home Week, May 8-14, 2011.
This annual event provides an opportunity to spotlight nursing home residents and staff, and encourage all to celebrate those that make a positive difference
in their lives every day.
A supportive and caring environment, such as a nursing home, provides enrichment for residents and families to continue growing, learning and teaching through various ways. The week also provides an opportunity to honor all those who contribute to our nation's nursing homes - residents, families, employees and volunteers
Autumn Care of Saluda has a packed calendar for the week with lots of fun and exciting events. We invite you to join us for all the activities.

Blessing of the Hands
One of the most meaningful events we offer each year is the annual Blessing of the Hands. This year's service will be held May 17th, 2:30 - 3:30 in the Family Room.
Led by Dean Elliot, Chaplin of the
Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, the service blesses the hands of the many caregivers who make life special for our residents at Autumn Care.
You may be a caregiver in the life of someone other than a resident at our facility. If so, we invite you to stop by and join us as we celebrate all caregivers.

One of the biggest events of National Nursing Home Week will be the annual Golden Games at Jackson Park, May 11th. Residents and staff from a number of local facilities will spend the day singing, playing games, and of course, eating. Everyone is invited to attend this fun filled event.
