The Key Process to a Successful Adoption Search
Adoption searches are unlike any other kind of search, and they can present some of the greatest challenges a person will ever encounter, both physically and emotionally. Arkansas law limits access to public records, which makes these investigations much more difficult to conduct, but our investigators have the passion, knowledge, and persistence to help you succeed in your search.

We have an in-depth understanding of the adoption process, which gives us a solid foundation for acquiring the information necessary to find birth parents, biological siblings, and children. Our investigators are up-to-date on current adoption laws as well as the laws that were in place at the time of the adoption. We are skilled at using available registries to open doors to key pieces of information both locally and nationally. By working collaboratively with a client and their attorney, we are able to search more quickly and with greater success than a client searching independently or with their attorney.

Knowing Your Parties and Their Roles in Your Adoption Search
Almost all adoptees have some degree of curiosity about their biological family. The desire to search for people and information is quite common and can become all-consuming for adoptees as well as for parents who relinquished a child or children through adoption. The process of search and reunion can be emotionally challenging, draining, and exhausting, as fantasy meets reality and people become "real" for the first time. The professional investigators at Arkansas Investigations understand the complex dynamics of adoption search. We combine investigative skill, knowledge of the law, and sensitivity to all parties involved in order to help you on your journey.

The adoptee is paramount to an adoption search. Whether searching for medical history, cultural education, or insight into why they were placed for adoption, every adoptee believes they have a right to the information they are searching for. Many adoptees find their search efforts stalled by laws regarding confidentiality and sealing of Original Birth Certificates. However, it is the adoptee's unflagging desire to complete their identity that drives the adoption search. Our investigators work with adoptees and their attorneys to channel that drive through the legal and bureaucratic maze that leads to answers to the question, "Who am I?"
