U12 Boys Attend Far West Regionals
The U12 boys represented JHYS and the state of Wyoming at Far West Regionals this past June. Teams that competed at Far West Regionals are the state champions from the following states: New Mexico, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, California South, and California North.
"As we expected the level of the tournament was very high. We are glad that we were able to raise our level and compete with some of the best teams in the country at the U-12 age group. For a small community like Jackson we consider this a decent performance. Next year our goal is to reach the Semifinals" said coach George Hahui about the event.
U12 Girls Take 2nd At Two Events
The U12 Girl's have been working hard and their hard work is finally paying off. The girls competed at the Wyoming State Cup and the 11th Annual Rocky Mountain Cup. At both events the girls fought to earn a space in the finals. 2nd place is always bitter/sweet but it shows the great progress the team has made. Last year the team did not make a final round of any tournament. Great job ladies!!

U13 Boys Compete At President's Cup
The U13 Boys represented JHYS and the state of Wyoming at President's Cup this past June. Teams that competed were the runners-up from the following states: New Mexico, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, California South, and California North.
"With a little bit more self confidence and concentration we could have reached the quarter finals of one of the most competitive tournaments in the country at our age group. We had a good taste of what high level competition means so we know what we have to do to be ready for next season", said coach Alin Suru.

U14 Boys Win Rocky Mountain Cup College Showcase

On June 20th the JHYS United U14 Boys team ventured to Boulder, Colorado to play in the Gold Division of the Rocky Mountain Cup College Showcase that brings in top competition from around the region. With the help of some new teammates from Idaho falls and Boston, the boys won every game including the Championship 4-2 with a total Goal differential of 20-7. MVP goes to Will Horstman(7 goals 1 assist), Golden Boot to Max Brieter(8 goals 1 assist),  Juan Morillon added 6 assists and one goal. "in my mind this was a total team effort and all the credit goes to the rest of the team as the chemistry was evident from the get go even after mixing in some new teammates. This team is so good. They have the, strength, heart, and most importantly, the compassion to pick each other up when times are tough. I couldn't be more proud of them after all the work they put in this year" Coach Schulte added.

Fall Rec League

The Fall Rec League will last from August 29th to October 22nd. The format will be the same as the Spring Rec League. We will begin registrations for the Fall Rec League on July 25th for minikickers through U10. Registration for U11 and up will begin August 8th.
