2011 in Review; Our Top Five Featured Articles
Our goal is to bring value-added content that will help you maintain a more efficient and profitable materials handling operation. And many of you responded by reading and downloading our Featured Articles each month. Topping the list back in January was our Feature "Safety Training vs. Teaching" that highlighted the vast differences between true safety training and merely teaching, and the benefits of actual training. In second place come an article we featured in our July issue pointing out how to perform "Proper Pre-Shift Forklift Inspections" according to OSHA and offering our checklist as a free download (see right hand column). Coming in the third spot was our June Feature "Proper Fork and Chain Inspections" pointing out the how-to's and what to look for to ensure you're maximizing forklift chain and fork life. Our most recent entry "Pedestrian Safety is no Accident; What You Need to Know" came in at number four. This feature focused on taking safety training past the operator cabin to ensure everyone within your facility is safe. Rounding out our Top-Five articles of 2011 was our August Feature comparing new Electric units and their ability to replace their IC counterparts in "IC vs. Electric; Why You Should Consider Going Green."
