Open House by Owners in Review
On March 10th, Rivera Cuale owners generously opened their homes for visitors to tour during our Open House.
About 40 guests enjoyed wine and socializing in our 3-bedroom model unit before visiting the homes of many of our owners who were on site. Guests appreciated the opportunity to chat with residents, hear their stories, see how they had personalized their homes, and all in all get a peek into the lifestyle they enjoy at Rivera Cuale.
Thank you to our owners for welcoming these guests into their private homes!
Without them, this very beneficial event would not have been possible.
Rivera Cuale is open seven days a week and welcomes you to stop by for your own personal tour of our beautiful riverfront property.

Salsa Night in Review
The March 7th Salsa Night at Rivera Cuale was a fun, tropical evening on the riverfront!
Our aspiring-salsa-dancer guests warmed up with refreshments to help soothe the nerves and loosen up the legs as salsa beats danced their way out of the speakers. Soon the men and women were lined up under multi-coloured lights on the poolside dance floor, moving to the instructor's counts of "one, two, three, pause, five, six, seven, pause."
Next they paired up and soon they were spinning and twirling their way around, looking very much at ease. It was a lovely time with great people and the always beautiful Cuale River and perfect Puerto Vallarta weather as backdrop.

Greetings!
April 1st, Palm Sunday, marked the beginning of Semana Santa or Holy Week, the week preceding Easter. Other than the Christmas holidays, Semana Santa is the busiest week in Puerto Vallarta and is an important Catholic holiday. Streets in town become crowded and the Malecon is full of party goers and people watchers. Many Mexican families travel to Vallarta to spend a week at the beach. All in all, it is a very festive time.
Speaking of cause for celebration, we congratulate our new owners of units 103 and PH1-B who just took possession of their gorgeous new homes at Rivera Cuale. Welcome!

Tour our Traditional Neighborhood
by Estelle Eisen, Rivera Cuale
Working at Rivera Cuale, we are often asked where specific places and services are located. Since we are conveniently located in town with no hills around us, walking everywhere is easy. In November 2010 I created a guide to help you navigate your way around, both virtually and for a real walking tour, of our fun packed neighborhood. Since our neighborhood is constantly changing, I have done an update to the Google map. I've added a number of new businesses and eateries, and removed a few that have closed.
Rivera Cuale Condominiums sit at the juncture of four colonias (neighborhood areas). Literally one block in any direction takes you into a different colonia. El Caloso behind us is a very typical Mexican neighborhood; Gringo Gulch is on the north side, which Elizabeth Taylor made famous; south is Las Canoas, which follows the river over to the tunnel road bypass and beyond to Paso Ancho, a rustic village with a nice walking trail; and due west across the river is Colonia Emiliano Zapata, which rolls on to Old Town, Zona Romantica, Los Muertos Beach, and spectacular sunsets every night for your viewing pleasure.
The Google Earth map I've created will introduce you to our neighborhood. Once you are on the Google Earth map, expand the slider on the left so the icons are not all crowded together. To navigate the map, just click on anything on the list on the left, or on the icon on the map, and a window will open in its location, complete with photo, address, brief description, and approximate walking time. Enjoy. Click here to begin your tour. Be patient. The map may take a minute or two to load.
Nothing on the map is more than a 20 minute walk from Rivera Cuale; of course sometimes one block has so many interesting places to pop into for a look-see, it might take a half hour just to navigate that block. So, all times are relative to your curiosity and your walking pace. Some obvious exceptions to walking are the gas station, car wash, and entrance to the Libramiento, since these are automobile related.Nothing on the map is more than a 20 minute walk from Rivera Cuale. |
