 Local talent John Barr goes to Omaha and gets drafted. June 8th, 2011
John Barr who is a senior for the University of Virginia was selected by the Cleveland Indians in this years amateur draft. John has been a work horse at the Academy for many years. He recently returned from the College World Series in Omaha.

Ryan Terry rakes in the awards. June 17th, 2011
Ryan Terry from Levittown has been collecting some hardware this post-season. In addition, this hard hitting infielder was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays. "I got my foot in the door" said Terry at Big Leagues before leaving for camp.

 Upper Moreland HS wins District
The Bears who do their indoor training at Big Leagues Academy and have Ken Irwin on their staff also won their conference in the regular season.

Also, something must be in the water in Upper Moreland as the 13U Travel Team won the suburban travel league this year as well. Many of the players played for Big Leagues in the Spring season and the team trained at the facility.
