What should I eat? You are playing in a tournament and have 2 or maybe three games in a day. You just got home from school and have to run off to the ball field for practice.
The most important thing is you have to eat and keep it simple. Just like your car needs gas, your body needs fuel too. Fruits and veggies are always great options but when they are not available what is the next best thing? What can I get on the run?
Good old fashioned peanut butter and jelly is great, you get your protein and carbs and a little fat. Same thing with chocolate milk and water and electrolytes. One thing your food should not be is an experiment, keep with foods you like and you eat all the time. Avoid the candy bars and sodas, you may think they give you energy but in the end it will only zap your energy. Just make sure you eat, even just a little something with a little bit from each group (protein, carbs and yes, fat too). Its not rocket science just some good preparation and time management.

BLA Outlaws outlast Mavs Georges Field at Upper Makefiled Complex was the final game to a beautiful early spring weekend where the BLA Outlaws wrapped up the Spring Fling Tournament and earned a birth into the 2012 Cooperstown Dream Week. The home team Upper Makefield Mavs came out swinging the bats in the championship but ran out of steam on the first weekend of the season. Both teams showed great improvement over the two days. Congratulations to both teams. For information on upcoming tournaments CLICK HERE |
