Teacher's Corner Tara Bernstein Teaches Gentle Yoga
 | |
Rachel Garson from nearby Gilbert & Sullivan practices Gentle Yoga with Tara Bernstein
|
In my Gentle Yoga classes, I see people of all ages and physical conditions. No one is too old or too stiff, too heavy, thin or tired to enjoy practicing and feeling the benefits of yoga.
We usually begin with standing poses. In time other postures are added, including forward bends and back bends, twists, inversions and restorative poses. Gentle yoga doesn't mean there's no effort involved. My students tell me they enjoy a gentle yoga practice because we get to work hard but without becoming exhausted.
This class meets weekly on Wednesday mornings from 10am - 11am. See Taj Yoga's ongoing schedule to find out more. |

Mary Kay Vadino will teach Whitman Middle Schoolers at the Taj
|
Our neighbors at Whitman Middle School are collaborating with Taj Yoga instructor Mary Kay Vadino to provide an after school yoga program for teens. Every week students will get the chance to venture out of the building and come to Taj Yoga's studio (two blocks away) for class, adding variety to their day. This weekly program will draw from a large student base at the school, including kids who might not otherwise have the opportunity to explore yoga. |
