Well, she's to get busy and help-out the President.
And here's some information to keep in-mind while helping-out: the compelling importance of pro-choice, Jewish women voters to President Obama's re-election.
For those of you who think that, at this point, just about any usually loyal Democratic subset is key to the President's re-election (true), read my latest Huffington Post Politics piece, which makes the case for why, and why now, it's important to mobilize Jewish women voters.
Listening to NPR the other day, I heard a Pennsylvania-based political consultant point-out that Pennsylvania is the state, next to Florida, with the most Electoral College votes in- play. What he didn't say is that both states have large numbers of pro-choice, Jewish women voters who could be recruited to the President's side. These voters could well be the President's margin-of -victory. Time to get busy.
In this Columbus-Day week -- when we remember immigrants, of every kind, who made this country great -- a shout-out toThe Jewish Daily Forward, and its Sisterhood blog, written by Elissa Strauss. This daughter of an immigrant mother, (that would be me), loved that pick-up of this piece the most. Thanks, Elissa.
Best wishes.
